1) What is your reaction to this poem?

Well at some point of view I could tell you that at the first time I read it and I think that it was a male chaudinist beacuase he was attacking woman. But then I reallize the poem and think that at some point he is right becuase no person in this world in perfect.

2) Is it offensive to women, funny, both, or something else?

I think that are both, ofensive and funny. Ofensive to woman beacuase he is ataccking to us and funny to men beacuse they are so male chaudinist that they feel god with that poem.

3) To whom is this speaker talking?

To woman.

4) What do you think might have occasioned the poem?

Maybe a woman break his heart.

5) What hyperboles do you see in love songs, whether modern of from other times?

I see that they have feeling and sometimes they right it with so much passion beacuase maybe the writer pass from something.

6) How do the sentiments in Donne’s song compare with those in love songs?

that the sentiment of donnes are telling hate for a woman , telling that perfect woman dosent exist. And love songs are telling the love for a woman that they seem to be perfect.

Find the hyperboles or exagerations in the poem.

*Teach me to hear mermaids singing,
Or to keep off envy’s stinging.

*Ride ten thousand days and nights,
Till age snow white hairs on thee
